We'd like to invite you to be part of Optimising the Energy of Volunteering: the New Zealand Volunteering Conference 2007.
As the national organisation that promotes, supports and represents volunteering in New Zealand, Volunteering New Zealand is proud to bring you this two-day event, supported by IHC and SPARC.
An exciting and stimulating programme awaits our delegates. It is filled with thought provoking presentations and break-out sessions, and opportunities to network and work together. To view or download the conference programme, please click here
Numbers are limited to 120 delegates to ensure that maximum opportunity exists for high-level strategic discussion amongst some of New Zealand's renowned decision-makers and policy-makers.
Delegates at the conference are expected to comprise representatives from voluntary organisations, the business sector, local and central government, and the education sector.
The purpose of the conference is to explore ways of optimising the energy of volunteering by:
- Maximising the potential of volunteering as an integral part of New Zealand society
- Developing strategies on how volunteering in New Zealand can optimise the opportunities presented by the issues/trends confronting volunteering
- Exploring the different costs of volunteering and the impact these could have on the development of volunteer services
Delegates will have the opportunity to hear New Zealand experts discuss matters at the core of the voluntary sector today, to network with their peers, and to participate in high quality, volunteering focused discussion.
Volunteering New Zealand is delighted to announce that the National Conference of Volunteering New Zealand, Optimising the Energy of Volunteering, will be a carbon neutral event.
Accommodation - Special conference rates charged on a per room basis have been negotiated with several Wellington Hotels. Please click here for details on accomodation packages
We look forward to welcoming you to our conference.
