We are living amid constant organisational change and while not all change is negative the word does conjure up all sorts of images in our mind.   This workshop is designed to help leaders of volunteers define the process of change, recognise their own response and be able to effectively disseminate information to volunteers positively and promptly.  Participants will develop a framework for managing and communicating with volunteers that includes understanding that different leadership and communication styles encompass a collection of traits and characteristics.

So many laws touch on how to treat volunteers and laws are constantly changing.  Make sure you are up with the play!  Come along to this ½ day workshop to learn about how to ensure that the volunteers involved in your organisation never accidentally become employees, get an update on Health and Safety cases, and an overview of the changes to the Privacy Act.

 

We will also hear about the many other areas where volunteers and the law interact. Topics covered include: Legally who is a volunteer? Health and Safety, Privacy Act, Human rights and discrimination, police vetting, volunteers transporting passengers.
