Volunteering NZ’s InvolveMe Tool released in July 2017 has been selected as a finalist in the New Zealand Charities Technology Awards 2018.

For many New Zealand community organisations, volunteers are the difference between good and great community outcomes. InvolveMe is designed to aid the more than 100,000 NGOs in New Zealand that involve volunteers on how volunteers, leaders of volunteers, organisation managers and board members view the culture, communication, strategy, and resources of their organisation.

InvolveMe is the number one product for ensuring your volunteers’ success and your organisation’s impact are realised now, and into the future.

InvolveMe – Charity Technology Awards finalist

“We are absolutely thrilled to be one of the finalists for Technology Innovator of the Year”, says, VNZ Chief Executive Scott Miller. “We know that these awards celebrate the very best in technology innovation and service excellence within the New Zealand Charitable Sector. Being selected as one of three finalists demonstrates the immense value placed by the wider sector on our innovative tool and also demonstrates the importance on volunteering and volunteer involvement.”

The InvolveMe tool is based on a short assessment survey which enables users to quickly assess their organisation’s existing strengths and opportunities. The organisation’s effectiveness is assessed across four domains: (1) strategy, (2) organisation culture, (3) communication, and (4) tools, processes, and resources supporting volunteering. Upon the completion of the assessment, the tool generates a customised report that guides the users towards development of an action plan in accordance with VNZ’s Best Practice Guidelines.

The tool’s interface is designed to make the assessment process intuitive. In fact, “simplified, approachable design” is the most attractive feature of InvolveMe according to the feedback from the early adopters.

The winners for the 2018 New Zealand Charities Technology Awards will be announced at an Awards Dinner on Thursday 22 March at the Waipuna Hotel in Auckland.
